Martin Petrov joins Manchester City
Bulgarian winger Martin Petrov has joined Manchester City for £4.7million.
Petrov passed a medical at the Carrington training ground and has agreed a three-year contract, subject to a work permit.
The 28-year-old who has been capped more than 60 times by Bulgaria, joins City from Spanish side Atletico Madrid and has become Sven-Goran Eriksson’s fourth signing of the summer and will wear the number 15 shirt.
City Chief Executive Alistair Mackintosh told the official site: “Unsurprisingly given the calibre of the player, there were a significant number of clubs competing for Martin’s signature, and I am absolutely delighted that he has come to Manchester City.
“Having Sven-Goran Eriksson as our manager proved to be a major factor in the player’s decision to move here.”

As a Spurs fan I’m gutted we’ve missed out on him. Why doesn’t Jol sign a winger?

I’m well happy he’s moved to City. If that YouTube clip is anything to go by, we’ve got a quality player!

What decent wingers are available for under £7million?
